Join us from the 19th to the 22nd of December for four days of traditional Christmas experience.

19 DECEMBER: An Evening of Irish Christmas Folklore and Song
Join folklorist Michael Fortune and artist/singer Aileen Lambert for an enchanting evening of Irish Christmas traditions, folklore, and music.

  • Time: Doors open at 6:00 PM

  • Tickets: €20 (includes finger food and a glass of mulled wine)

  • Venue: Aroma Tearooms

20 DECEMBER: A Traditional Christmas at Aroma Tearooms

  • Time: 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Highlights:

    • A stunning 8ft x 4ft traditional Italian Nativity Crib on display. A must see!

    • Christmas crafts available for purchase.

    • Special Offer: Free tea/coffee with every cake purchased for guests aged 60+ (Flash your ID and prove you're not a cheeky 59).

21 DECEMBER: A Family Christmas Day

  • Time: 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Activities:

    • 12:00 PM: Kids' craft table – make your own Christmas decoration (first come, first served until 2:00 PM).

    • 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Live music and songs by James Power in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

    • Tea, coffee, cakes, and savouries available from Aroma Tearooms, alongside the Nativity Crib display and Christmas crafts sale.

22 DECEMBER: A Celebration of Community and Christmas Spirit

  • Time: 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Schedule:

    • 11:00 AM: Carol singing by Horeswood Church Choir.

    • 11:30 AM: Procession of Mary and Joseph with a donkey from the Abbey to the courtyard.

    • 12:00 PM: Blessing of the Live Nativity Crib with live animals, cared for by our community farmers and Cllr. Marty Murphy.

    • Carol singing by the Dunbrody Abbey Children’s Choir.

    • Tea, coffee, cakes, and savouries available from Aroma Tearooms, alongside the Nativity Crib display and Christmas crafts sale.
